Shaw House Wedding
Emily and Ant’s Shaw House Newbury wedding was our final wedding for April 2017 and was a perfect finish to the month! We recently shared their sneak peek gallery, probably displaying some of our favourite shots. They have now received their full album and were delighted with their wedding photography, as a result leaving us a wonderful 5-star review!
Bridal Preparations
The day began with us covering bridal and groom preparations. Mary with the bridal party having their hair and makeup done – consequently a very busy and chaotic space! While Jon was with Ant, the groom, his baby daughter and his twin brother/best man getting ready in a slightly more relaxed atmosphere!
Newbury Wedding
The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Shaw house. While we are a predominately are Leeds Wedding Photographers, Shaw House is an amazing building in Newbury. It is the perfect location for a wedding because of its beautiful location, that is picturesque and peaceful. A family member took our bride Emily to the venue in a convertible Land Rover, along with her Dad and bridesmaids.
Wedding Moments
A beautiful ceremony, with a few tears from the guests. Our bride ‘Yay’d’ at being announced ‘Husband and Wife’ which was probably our favourite moment of the day!
Group Shots
It was the warmest day of the year so far, so we captured impressive group shots in front of Shaw House after the ceremony. Their gardens were beautiful yet quiet. Due to this they were the perfect space for a few group shots and portrait shots of the new couple. Emily had warned us that her family liked ‘silly’ photographs and they didn’t let us down with their group shots.
Handcrafted Wedding Details
The wedding reception was at the Hare and Hounds Barn, while a beautiful rustic venue it was the handcrafted details by the bride and bridesmaids that made it so special. Their reveal cake was almost certainly a surprise for the guests. One side a regular wedding cake and the other showing the couple’s other loves! The bottom tier was Star Wars for Ant, the middle was Doctor Who for Emily, and most noteworthy was the top tier of Game of Thrones which they love watching together.
Two Wedding Photographers
Finally, a wonderful day turned into a dance filled evening of love and laughter. A big thank you to Emily and Ant for choosing Stories of I Do wedding photography!
