We always find it amazing just how many local venues we have photographed over the years. Sometimes it can seem a little odd that we have only shot a few of our favourite locations close to home a handful of times. Huddersfield and Brighouse are some of those places but are perfect for any intimate Yorkshire wedding. We love to shoot here as there is some awesome scenery just a stone's throw away.

Wedding at Oakes Baptise Church Huddersfield
Quite often when we first meet a potential couple, they ask, 'how do you cope with people who don't like having their picture taken? Everyone always looks so natural and relaxed.' We always answer the same way. The only thing we want from you is for you to be. Completely ignore us if you wish. If you want to laugh, laugh, if you want to kiss, kiss. Take your partner in your arms and feel the moment. If you want to giggle about your stressful morning preparations or have a quiet moment together in an otherwise hectic day, then that's perfect too! You are you, and your personality is all that we want to photograph.

Mark and Francine’s wedding at the end of March reminded us of everything we love about Yorkshire weddings. This pair is one awesome couple, and they planned one seriously momentous wedding day. Every aspect of Mark and Francine's church wedding was incredible and an absolute dream to be a part of. They made Stories Of I Do feel right at home and every bit a part of their special day. We felt like we had always known them!

From our first meeting with them all those months ago to that last hug goodbye at the incredible Party Venue, Brighouse Sport and Cricket Club we knew we had shared an adventure with two exceptional human beings, and what an adventure!
Yorkshire Wedding
It was clear even from our first meeting that both Mark and Francine just wanted a relaxed day with their friends and family. Our candid wedding photography style lets everyone enjoy the day naturally. On the big day its-self, it was clear that neither of them was going to waste their day worrying or fretting over the weather. It was one of those weddings when it was impossible to document them doing anything other than smiling and enjoying their day. We like to think that Mark and Francine must have some pretty great karma. They managed in March to get the incredible skies and the warm light of summer shining on them.
Stories Of I Do Wedding Photography
Stories Of I Do wedding photography both spent the morning with busy bridal preparations and groom preparations. Francine arrived in a fabulous red mini for an incredible church ceremony in Oakes Baptist Church, Huddersfield. We took advantage of the gorgeous weather for some epic dappled light filled portraits in and around the stunning Beaumont Park.
As we headed out into the park for some couple shots around sunset, we were reminded of just how incredible this part of the country is, and why some of the country’s most celebrated landscape photographers love Yorkshire so much. Beaumont Park is a hidden gem and a secret, private location for some newlyweds to enjoy a moment of peace. We finally arrived at the phenomenal The Party Venue to celebrate in true style until the sun dipped its head below the valley.

As their evening celebrations continued we bid farewell to the couple and their guests who had made this wedding day pure magic to capture. While our adventure with Francine and Mark was almost over, of course, theirs had only just begun. They are the kind of couple who are guaranteed to live happily ever after! We wish that we could post every image from their incredible day in this post, but that might be a tad overkill! Instead, we have whittled it down to a smaller selection so you can see just how awesome this wedding and this couple were.
