African-Caribbean Wedding Photographer
One of the things we love about London is the diversity and mix of cultures living in this beautiful city. We had been looking forward to Kirsty and Karl’s African Caribbean wedding in Erith, London for a long time. We love travelling to different venues and photographing weddings from different cultures. So an African Caribbean wedding in a stunning London venue was inspiring!
Breathtaking Wedding Photographs
Kirsty and Karl combined the traditional English elements with the bright, colourful and fun aspects of a traditional African Caribbean wedding. This provided plenty of opportunities for breathtaking wedding photographs!
Vibrant and Elegant Wedding
Regarding the number of guests, this was also one of the biggest wedding Stories Of I Do have ever photographed. The day was bright and colourful thanks to the vibrant and elegant attire worn by the 200 wedding guests. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing.
Wedding at Christ Church Erith
Stories Of I Do are Leeds wedding photographers so travelled down to London the day before the wedding. Christ Church Erith is a beautiful church, a real hidden gem. It is stunning inside, and it was a bonus that the weather on the day of the wedding was glorious. The UK had an extreme heatwave this year, so the grass did look like sand, but the sun didn’t stop shining the whole day, and it was hot summer’s day.
Wedding Reception Photography
We started the wedding day by photographing Kirsty getting ready with her bridesmaids and Karl preparing the church with his groomsmen. Before long the bridal party were making their way to the church for the wedding ceremony.
Wedding Reception at Slade Green Community Centre
The party really started though when we got back to the Slade Green Community Centre! As is traditional with African Caribbean weddings, the bridal party danced into the venue before being joined by the bride and groom. This kicks off the reception really well and had everyone in the mood for a huge celebration.
Happiness Filled Wedding
The evening was full of colour, games, beautiful outfits and dancing and it was so much fun to photograph. For documentary style wedding photographers like ourselves who like to shoot natural moments, this was a dream. Everywhere I looked there was dancing, laughter and smiles.
African Caribbean Wedding Photography
The whole day was a fantastic experience that we will remember for a long time, a massive community celebration of love and unity. Their loved ones really came together to celebrate the union of two people, making it a big family affair. The rest of the evening was incredible, and we loved capturing everything. Our wedding photography conveys just how fabulous it was on the dancefloor!
