York Wedding Photographers
When Mathew and Kayleigh got married in the historic city of York last weekend, they didn’t let something like a little rain stop their fun day!
We started the day at Kayleigh's parent's house, to capture the bridal party and family preparations. There was a very relaxed atmosphere, and it was a pleasure to be there. Kayleigh looked stunning, wearing a beautiful vintage style lace gown with her bouquet tied with her Grandads handkerchief.
Marvel Themed Wedding
Mathew and his groomsmen were getting ready at their home in central York. It’s was a lovely setting for groom prep, not far from the church. The groomsmen wedding details gave a subtle hinted at Mathews love of Superman and the Marvel wedding theme to come.
Wedding at St Wilfred’s Church, York
The groomsmen and bridesmaids arrived in style in matching cream VW campervans. Kayleigh and her Dad pulled up in front of the York Minster in a Mustang. Kayleigh turned some heads as the York tourists heard her arriving in it!
The couple married at St Wilfred's Church, York. A picturesque historic church, opposite the York Minster. As Kayleigh arrived the heavens opened, the rain literally bounced down! Our bride laughed it off as she and her Dad hurried into the church helped by the lovely Mustang driver.
Amazing Confetti Images
The ceremony was lovely, and the character of the church really shone through. It was a relaxed celebration for the bride and groom.
After the ceremony, the rain had eased up, and we managed to organise a rather spectacular confetti walkway for the newlyweds. We love this part of the day, everyone really enjoys throwing things at their friends!
Wedding Reception at Mercure Fairfield Manor
Kayleigh and Mathew had planned the most unique wedding day in York, and their attention to detail really paid off! Everything was perfect, they weren’t put off by the rain! The newlyweds set off to Mercure Fairfield Manor York Hotel for their reception celebration. We loved Kayleigh's wedding cake surprise for Mathew. The cake, while looking like a standard white, three-tiered wedding cake, was Marvel themed at the back. The cake was such a fun idea and was so well made.
The party carried on the way into the night, and the Mercure Fairfield Manor was a beautiful venue to hold the wedding breakfast and dancing much later on.
Congratulations Kayleigh and Matt, it was terrific! Thanks so much to both the newlyweds and their families for making Stories Of I Do feel so welcome.
